The panel will have an informational interview type feel with panelists sharing their career paths, a look at what their job entails, transferrable skills for those looking to make a change, tips for uncovering opportunities, advice for others, and how to make brave leaps. About the Panelists: Alicia M. Palladino is an associate in the Health Sciences Department of Troutman Pepper. Dr. Palladino concentrates her work on patent preparation and prosecution, due diligence and licensing matters. Dr. Palladino has extensive science research experience and her practice covers a broad range of life science areas such as genetics, biochemistry, organic chemistry, biotechnology, molecular biology and cell imaging. She uses this experience to help clients protect and commercialize their innovations. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut Health Center, followed by ten years of academic research in biomedical science, where she extensively studied the mechanisms surrounding neurodegeneration and mitochondrial disease. Following her research work, Dr. Palladino has been an active member of the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation and currently serves as Chair of its Board of Directors. Dr. Jeannette Potts has served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Forma Therapeutics since September 2019. Before joining the Company, Dr. Potts served in various roles at the U.S headquarters of Takeda Pharmaceuticals Company Limited, most recently as Vice President, Head Counsel, Research and Development from March 2019 through August 2019, and as Vice President, Legal, Head, Global Research and Development Legal Practice Group from March 2015 through March 2019 and Vice President, Legal from March 2013 to March 2015. Dr. Potts holds a B.A. in biology from Smith College, a Ph.D. in anatomy and cell biology from the University of Virginia and a J.D. cum laude from Suffolk University. Robin A. Walker is Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary at Areteia Therapeutics. Ms. Walker is a strategic C-suite executive and board director with over 20 years of experience. As a trusted legal advisor, she is responsible for managing the legal department and providing guidance related to corporate compliance, corporate governance, commercial, regulatory, risk management, mergers and acquisitions, collaborations, intellectual property strategy, regulatory, employment, and securities law matters. Ms. Walker serves on the Board of the Massachusetts General Hospital, Nuvara Therapeutics, and the Shady Hill School. Ms. Walker is a graduate of Vassar College and the Boston University School of Law.
