Career Possibilities Panel & Speed Networking - AI, Data Science, & Computational ScienceAs the STEM landscape continues to evolve, professionals are increasingly embracing non-linear career paths that reflect their expanding skills, interests, and goals. This series is designed to support STEM professionals navigating career shifts—whether exploring new sectors, pursuing leadership roles, or transitioning into emerging fields. The panel will have an informational interview type feel with panelists sharing their career paths, a look at what their job entails, and transferable skills for those looking to make a change. The panel will be moderated by Elena Longhi, Senior Scientist - Lead Generation, Superluminal Medicines Inc. Panelists include:
Date and Time: Agenda: Location: Cost: Given our mission is to promote women's development in STEM we would like to offer a free spot in our workshops to those in transition between jobs or who cannot afford the ticket price. Please contact [email protected] if you qualify.

Marie-Aude Guié has over 20 years of experience in research informatics, data sciences and custom software solution design. She is dedicated to creating a collaborative environment to support scientists with best-in-class software and high-quality data to accelerate drug discovery. This has been her focus since joining X-Chem in 2012 with a recent focus on enterprise data and processes. Before that, she worked at Yale University where she designed and deployed the informatics platform to support high throughput cellular imaging and luminescence assays. She has also worked at MedImmune, Inc. and Southern Research Institute, managing multi-disciplinary teams and coordinating scientific information systems deployments to support research goals in a variety of fields such as infectious diseases, cancer biology and inflammatory diseases. Marie-Aude received her B.Sc. in Physiology from McGill University in 1999 and completed her graduate studies at The Johns Hopkins University in 2006. Yurong Xin, Ph.D., is Vice President of Computational and Data Sciences at Arbor Biotechnologies. For 15 years she has followed the methods that promised the most for drug discovery, from single-cell sequencing to CRISPR editing analysis to machine learning for protein and sequence design. She takes them up because the problems are interesting and they serve the goal she started with: developing drugs that cure disease. Her leadership followed the same path. At Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Vertex Pharmaceuticals, and Laronde she built bioinformatics and data science groups around methods new to those organizations, and stayed long enough to make them part of how the science got done. Today she sets Arbor's AI strategy, presents the technical view to the board and external partners, and leads the computational work behind its gene editing programs. Yurong earned her Ph.D. in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from Rutgers University and M.S. and B.S. degrees from Fudan University.
