Description:

Consider how much time you spend each week in meetings, talking with colleagues, or responding to emails - in other words, communicating with others. Communication skills are ranked among the most useful in advancing careers, keeping a job, or finding new employment. This four-hour, participatory workshop will help you better understand your style to be more effective in your career in science, technology or any field. You will learn how to:

  • Improve your ability to communicate
  • Convey information to co-workers more effectively
  • Hone your interviewing skills

Are you interested in moving through issues more quickly at work? Want to get your message across to people who don't seem to communicate quite like you do? After participating in this lively interactive workshop, you'll be able to do just that. In this session, you'll learn to:

  • Identify your communication style
  • Identify the communication styles of others
  • Learn to recognize the communication style of the person you're interacting with

Best of all, you'll walk away with a tool that will help you get through each day, meeting, and project much more smoothly.
