Using today's social networking platforms there are new tools for connecting with colleagues, and your professional reach and collaboration potential are vastly expanded. Join us to learn about how to build a presence, and to leverage these new technologies to establish your visible professional "brand."  We will cover:

  • What you need to know about social networking today
  • Why networking is important for today's professional
  • Virtual networking and networking etiquette
  • Keeping yourself safe online – the common sense rules of data privacy 
  • Defining your strategy so you can measure success
  • Choosing the right tools to meet your goals
  • Creating and maintaining your professional "brand"
NOTE: Since these tools are evolving so rapidly, this workshop is appropriate for all expereince levels, including those who are already regular users of social media, as well as those who are baffled. Workshop Leader:

Mari Anne Snow is an organizational development and change management professional with over 20 years experience utilizing technology to support non-disruptive business change. She is CEO and co-founder of SophiaThink, a management consulting firm that helps businesses identify the appropriate technology to achieve their business strategies.  Her firm specializes in the utilization of social networking, social media and collaboration technologies in highly regulated industrues.  In addition, she advises companies on data privacy, internal governance requirements and data security related to these emerging technologies.  Before SophiaThink, Mari Anne held senior positions as a business technologist and organizational development professional at the State Street Corporation as well as other companies.  Mari Anne is an Adjunct Professor at Bentley University.
