Effective Networking Practices to Build Rewarding Relationships

For a variety of reasons, it is beneficial to be well networked. This program will cover effective ways to build and maintain a network. Participants will have a chance to practice what they learned with an exercise and facilitated speed networking and leave with practical tips that can be implemented right away. Topics covered include: The power of a network; finding networking opportunities, the elevator speech, event tips and how to work a room, follow-up, and relationship building. This program will be facilitated by Ellen Keiley, President of EMK Consulting Group.

 

About the Presenter

Ellen Keiley is President of EMK Consulting Group, a professional services consulting firm specializing in business development coaching and consulting, marketing, and Public Relations for individuals and organizations. She has over 20 years’ experience in the professional services industry, serving in business development, marketing, and PR roles for both Boston-based and international firms and companies. Ellen is Immediate Past President of the National Association of Women MBAs Boston Professional Chapter, serves on the United Way Women’s Leadership Council Executive Committee, serves on the Greater Boston Chamber Women’s Advisory Board, is a Vice Chair of the City Year Women’s and Legal Leadership Initiatives, and is an active member of several other professional associations and non profits. She is a frequent speaker and writer and has appeared on radio programs.
